WHITFORD DEPARTS FUSO

Daimler Truck and Bus has announced that Justin Whitford has departed the company to take up a new business opportunity outside the industry.

Mr Whitford most recently served in the role of director for Fuso Truck and Bus Australia and is believers to have been with Daimler for around six years

Whitford leaves. Fuso  after  having  recently overseen the introduction of  the new Shogun heavy-duty truck and upgraded Canter. it is understood  that Mr Whitford has departed to start a new role with  a leading importer of tractors and agricultural machinery.

“I would like to thank Justin for his time at Daimler and wish him all the best for the future,” says Daimler Truck and Bus Australia Pacific president and CEO, Daniel Whitehead.

Daimler Truck and Bus Australia Pacific has said that it has begun the process of identifying a successor to Mr Whitford.

Daniel Whitehead says the person who fulfills the position will have a strong foundation to build on thanks to the great Fuso product range.

“Fuso’s Canter is the only light-duty truck in Australia with Active Emergency Braking and the just-introduced Shogun heavy-duty truck is a class-leader with exceptional technology, comfort and performance,” Mr Whitehead says.

“The excellent Fuso product range, backed by our stellar dealership network, presents an excellent opportunity for growth,” he adds.
