Volkswagen announced it has introduced a new special edition Caddy Maxi Van targeted at city-based business customers called, the Caddy Urban Edition.
Volkswagen says that for many of its business customers, a van is more than just a mode of transport it is their ‘nerve centre’ of their business operation, and is often an office, a storage space and a meeting room all in one.
The company says the new, limited edition Caddy Urban Edition, is based on the 92 kW/220Nm TSI220 Caddy Maxi Van model and is specified with those customers in mind.
The Caddy comes with standard features like rear barn doors, rear park distance control, forward collision with city emergency braking and driver fatigue detection, Volkswagen says the Caddy Maxi Van has already proven itself as a workhorse of choice for countless customers, and added that the Urban Edition builds on that specification with a unique suite of added features.
Included as standard on the Urban Edition is a 6.3-inch Composition Media infotainment system with App-Connect functionality, 16-inch ‘Bendigo’ alloy wheels, front fog lights with cornering function and H7 headlamps with separate daytime running lights.
Director for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia, Mr. Ryan Davies, explained the philosophy of the limited-run Caddy van.
“Times are incredibly tough for all businesses right now, but many of them cannot afford to stop. The Caddy Urban Edition takes some of our most popular and practical features and adds them to an already compelling package,” Mr. Davies said.
“We’ve priced these 70 units as a turnkey solution, and to offer businesses great value for money,” he continued.
The Caddy Urban Edition is priced from $36,990 drive-away and limited to 70 units, and available to purchase now throughout Volkswagen Australia’s national dealer network, which remain open during this extremely challenging time.
