US owned truck dealership giant, Velocity Vehicle Group has announced it has finalised the purchase of Daimler Truck Australia’s Sydney dealership the Daimler Trucks Huntingwood in the city’s west.
The purchase was finalised and became effective on the 16 October with the Sydney dealership joining the other Daimler Truck and Bus dealerships Velocity have purchased in Australia in recent times
Richard Higgins, the executive vice president of Velocity Vehicles Group Australia (VVG), said the company was excited to have Daimler Trucks Huntingwood join the VVGA family.
“The dealership has a 30 year plus history of providing exceptional support to a large and diverse customer base and the experienced and dedicated team of circa 125 people are an important and a welcome addition to the VVGA network.,” Higgins said.
“The team have been leaders in Daimler’s Elite Support program which complements the VVGA pillars of Speed, Value and Trust. With our focus on these values we aim to continue to grow and develop Huntingwood along with our ability to provide service that meets the ongoing needs of our customers,” Higgins added.
VVG Australia now operates 15 other dealership locations across Australia, and exclusively sells Daimler truck, bus and van products across its network.
VVG Australia purchased these dealerships from Eagers Automotive on 1st May this year.
