Freightliner has announced that it is offering a three-year/450,000km Complete Service Plan package with select Cascadia models sold until the end of the financial year on 30 June, 2025, with the service plan deal being offered for free.
The hangover from the Covid pandemic and continuing supply issues have been a hurdle for the Cascadia and its sales performance in Australia since its launch in 2019, despite the fact that the model is the biggest selling heavy duty truck in North America.
Daimler tells us that its Complete Service Plan is the highest-level of its service package available and is described as a complete service, repair and wear and tear package for “all-round protection”. It tells us that details can be checked out including what is included at the freightliner.com.au website.
Daimler Truck dealerships carry out all the work from factory-trained technicians using only genuine parts, which it says helps to keep the truck in pristine condition as well as maxmising uptime.
If something does go wrong, roadside assistance, repairs and towing cost (up to 600km) are covered too.
Daimler Truck Australia Pacific sales and marketing vice president, Andrew Assimo said the three-year/450,000km Complete Service Plan is a huge positive for customers.
“Cascadia customers are already benefitting from reduced running costs thanks to the amazing fuel efficiency, but this offer helps them save even more,” he said.
“Our three year/450,000km offer represents a really significant saving and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to our customers,” Assimo added.
Daimler says that select Cascadia 116 and 126 models, with a GCM below 108 tonnes qualify for the free servicing offer.

As we mentioned earlier, the Cascadia is the best-selling truck in the massive United States market, where it is known and has a reputation for fuel economy and for maximum efficiency and uptime.
Daimler tells us that the Cascadia is available as a 116 model with a 505hp Detroit 13-litre engine or as a 126 model with a 600hp Detroit 16-litre power plant. It says that both engines use a smart 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission that uses GPS a topography data in order to coast for optimum efficiency.
Daimler boasts that the Cascadia also has what it describes as the most advanced active safety features in the bonneted truck class and is the only one with a steering wheel mounted airbag for the driver, while a head-protecting driver airbag is also an option according to the truck maker.
