Australia’s road transport industry will again recognise some of its most significant players and character at the end of August when the Shell Rimula National Road Transport Wall of Fame will celebrate 57 of Australia’s trucking heroes for their lifelong commitment to the road transport community.
The National Road Transport Wall of Fame recognises and champions the achievements of the road transport community across Australia and has done for many years, except for the last couple of years when Covid intervened
Now the Wall of Fame is set to be added to with a big weekend planned in the Red Centre from Friday 26 August to Sunday 28 August at the Road Transport Hall of Fame in Alice Springs, thanks to the support of Shell Rimula.
Nick Lubransky, transport marketing manager, Viva Energy Australia (the Shell brand licensee in Australia) said the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has shone a spotlight on just how important the road transport community is for our country.

It is the 21st year that Shell Rimula has partnered with the Road Transport Hall of Fame to host the weekend of celebrations, bringing together Australia’s transport community and recognising influential members of the industry. 2022 will see a return of in person festivities, with last year’s inductees also getting the chance to be involved in the induction ceremony.
“We are excited to be back celebrating such an important community and recognising those individuals that have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the transport industry”, said Nick Lubransky.
“For 21 years now, Shell Rimula and the Road Transport Hall of Fame has supported this special occasion and we are delighted to be back this year to welcome the 2022 inductees in person,” he added.
Kicking off the weekend of festivities will be the popular Transport Women Australia Limited Breakfast on Friday 26 August. The weekend’s highlight, which will see 57 new inductees welcomed into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame, will commence at 3:00pm on Saturday 27 August.
