Renault celebrated its best ever moth in June, breaking through to make more than 500 light commercial vehicle sales.
The French brand moved 510 units last month, 20 vehicles better than the previous record set in June 2015.
Renault had strong sales across its three LCV offerings, with 123 of the compact Kangoo, 245 of the medium-sized Trafic and 144 of the Master – including 18 of the bus variant.
Model line manager Lyndon Healey credits a fresh marketing campaign to Renault’s recent growth.
“We ran a strong campaign in May and June and the results have shown that the market is very receptive to Renault’s LCV models and our market-competitive offers,” Healey said.
“In addition, we’re building on 18 years of market leadership in Europe and five years of continual strong growth in Australia.”
Renault is currently up 38 per cent year-to-date with a total of 2,386 units, a figure higher than the marque’s total sales in 2013.
Healey added the growth of the brand has also seen Renault’s popularity rise in regional areas.
“We are making new friends among the van buying community in Australia as more people discover our brand and offers,” he said.
“We now have more dealers in close proximity to more business customer than ever before and our dealers in regional areas are having just as much success with new business as our urban dealers.
“Renault will continue to conquest business across all light commercial vehicle segments, assisted by well-specified product, a wide range of customer-friendly after sales features and benefits.”
