PEUGEOT VANS ANNOUNCE TIE UP WITH AUSTRALIAN RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

The spacious and comfortable Peugeot Boxer Van will now be a regular feature at each ARC round this season, with the van also playing a key role in helping Motorsport Australia deliver each event, thanks to its impressive cargo capacity.

Peugeot vans has announced it has become official commercial vehicle partner for the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship in 2021.

Although the Peugeot brand is not involved in the  Australian Rally championship as a manufacturer backed competitor, it has  decided to commit as a regular feature at each round of the ARC this season, with a Peugeot Boxer van  set to play a key role with Motorsport Australia  helping organisers deliver each event, with the Boxer’s cargo capacity an important factor.

Peugeot is relaunching its presence in the commercial van market in Australia and the Boxer being used by the Rally championship , is  clearly part of the drive to raise the brands commercial profile.

The Boxer is the largest of the brand’s three model van range.

The Boxer’s will be used in a number of roles at ARC events, including setting up service parks, unloading signage and setting up at Power Stages in remote location.

Motorsport Australia director of motorsport and commercial operations, Michael Smith is thrilled to welcome Peugeot Australia to the ARC.

“To have Peugeot as the official commercial vehicle partner of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship is a real boost for the growing stature of the ARC,” Smith said.

“Peugeot’s Boxer van is a very adaptable and comfortable vehicle that will also assist us greatly in delivering each ARC round. We’re delighted to have Peugeot on board and their support will make each event even easier for our organising team in 2021.

“With extended coverage of each round via 7plus and a growing list of sponsors, we are really excited about the 2021 season.”

Kate Gillis, general manager of Peugeot Australia said Peugeot is delighted to join the ARC as the official commercial vehicle partner for 2021.

The RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship begins this month, with the Netier National Capital Rally in Canberra from 26-28 March.
