Penske Australia has announced a change to its dealer network in the NSW New England city of Tamworth with its sales, parts, and service dealer, North Star Motors transferring its Tamworth dealership to Double R Trucks.
Double R Trucks Tamworth becomes the seventh dealership for Double R across New South Wales and Western Australia, with Penske highlighting the company’s expertise across heavy-duty trucking, mining, and agricultural industries,\ .
Penske says that Double R was established in 2005, and has grown over the last decade and a half expanding services, across various markets , and locations.
The former North Star Motors location at 105 Gunnedah Road Tamworth, which is just a few minutes from Double R Equipment’s Dampier Street operation, will transition to\ Double R Trucks, with shared resources and capabilities across the two locations.

North Star Motors Newcastle will continue its appointment as a dealer of Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit.
Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit customers can access the team at Double R Trucks at 105 Gunnedah Road Tamworth.
