Paccar and has announced that along with its dealers, it has donated $100,000 to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire appeal.
Paccar, which markets both Kenworth and DAF in Australia, says it is ’as devastated as every Australian by the current bushfire crisis being experienced across the country’.
The company’s statement said the concern for all affected is also being felt globally and that its US parent company Paccar Inc. has donated $AUD 70,000 ($50,000USD) to the Australian Red Cross along with a further $AUD30,000 donated by Paccar Australia dealers to the Australian Red Cross.
Managing director of Paccar Australia, Andrew Hadjikakou said that the unprecedented scale of the ongoing bushfire disaster is a tragedy for everyone impacted.
”We most sincerely hope our contribution goes some way to continuing to support Australian Red Cross to deliver assistance to locally-affected communities,” Hadjikakou added.
