
The NHVR has made the much anticipated announcement of the replacement for its long term CEO, Sal Petroccitto, wh departed the National Regulator in January, revealing Nicole Rosie will be the organisation’s new chief executive.
NHVR chair Duncan Gay made the announcement yesterday, saying that Rosie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is looking forward to officially welcoming Rosie to here new role at the Regulator on the 30th June.
“I am pleased to announce Nicole Rosie was selected as the new NHVR CEO following an extensive and rigorous recruitment process,” Gay said.
“With more than 20 years of leadership experience in both the public and private sectors, most recently Nicole Rosie was the CEO at New Zealand Transport Agency following her role as CEO of WorkSafe New Zealand. Nicole has also held senior executive roles at Fonterra, KiwiRail, Vector, and Toll NZ,” Gay said.
“Ms Rosie’s strong background in governance, law and public policy, combined with a deep understanding of transport and infrastructure, made her the ideal candidate to lead the NHVR into its next chapter of harmonisation and innovation,” he added.
Gay said he also extended a sincere thank you to the NHVR’s Interim CEO, Janelle van de Velde.
“I would like to thank Janelle van de Veldefor her outstanding leadership during this transition period and for ensuring business continuity following former CEO Sal Petroccitto OAM’s departure in January,” Gay said.
Janellevan de Velde will remain as the Interim CEO until Rosie commences with the NHVR in June.
