The ATA along with Daimler Trucks Australia have announced that nominations for the 2025 Future Leaders’ Forum (FLF), are now open potentially giving the winners something the two organisations describe as “a career-defining program that will shape the next generation of trucking industry leaders’.
ATA chair, Mark Parry said that in an industry that was constantly evolving, it was vital to have strong leaders to build a safer, more productive future.
“Like many Australian industries, the trucking industry is facing disruption and innovation as technology changes the way we do business, work and live. Together with Daimler Truck, we are looking for the next generation of leaders,” Parry said.
The AtA says that part one of the FLF will be held in Canberra in February 2025, where participants will take part in intensive workshops and collaborate to develop industry advocacy projects that will be presented at the ATA’s Trucking Australia 2025 conference from 28-31 April 2025.
The at a says that participants will also be mentored by experts in leadership, media and political advocacy during the forum, developing their potential as future leaders of the industry and the ATA’s network of member associations.
“The FLF has helped nurture some wonderfully talented young people in the road freight industry since its inception in 2018,” president and CEO of Daimler Truck Australia, Daniel Whitehead said.
“Daimler Truck is excited to continue backing this fantastic initiative that helps provide a clearer pathway for future leaders of this vital industry.”
