LDV ADDS MORE TO POPULAR G10 VAN

LDV is proving one of the success stories of the light commercial market in Australia with. Its first half sales figures registering a 127 per cent increase on the same period in 2020.

LDV’s light commercial van , the G10 was one of the stars of that sales success, selling 1,517 of them to the end of June this year,  which equates to a 161.6 per cent increase in 2021, with the company pointing to the increase in online shopping creating a knock-on demand particularly in the courier business.

Against that sales success, LDV has added to its model line up with a new version of its light van, unveiling the G10+, which gains the same 2.0-litre 118kW diesel engine used in  its T60 Trailrider ute as well as the stellar ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

The addition of the ZF on both the new diesel and existing petrol model on both the new diesel and existing petrol model as well as the new turbo diesel engine promises an improved and refined drive experience thanks to smoother gearshifts the company said.

LDV claims that the new G10+ also boasts an improved and impressive fuel economy of 8.2-litres per 100km on a combined cycle.

“For just $1500 more than the standard G10, the new G10+ demonstrates our unrivalled understanding of the courier business,” said LDV Automotive meneral manager, Dinesh Chinnappa.

“A more powerful and efficient diesel engine combined with a modern eight-speed ZF transmission, makes a tough day of pick-ups and drop-off that bit easier,” said Chinnappa.

“The new G10+ is quieter, more refined and better value than ever. If your office must be mobile, the G10+ is more than capable,” he added.

LDV said that inside the G10 + the dashboard and ergonomics have been updated with a new rotary gear selector, new material finishes, and improved NVH levels making for a more relaxed drive experience.

The company claims the G10+ is built tough for the courier business boasting a 5.2 cubic metre cargo area with a payload of 1093kg, and easy access via two sliding doors as standard along with a rear lift tailgate, that provides added protection from the weather when loading. The G10+ can also be ordered with the option of rear barn doors on diesel models.

The G10+ has multiple load tie-down points on the floor and the wheel arches, and there is tough floor covering throughout to protect both the vehicle and your cargo. And to make sure you are never left in the dark, there are four lights in the load area along with an integrated step on both sides.

LDV says the G10+ is on sale now, with a driveaway price of $34,200 for the manual petrol lift door variant, $34,726 for the automatic petrol lift door and $36,305 for the diesel auto lift door.
