UNDERLINING its origins and Italian heritage Iveco has welcomed the recently-appointed Italian Ambassador to Australia, Stefano Gatti, who visited Iveco Australia’s manufacturing facility at Dandenong in Melbourne last Friday for meetings with senior Iveco executives\
It was the first visit by Ambassador Gatti to see Iveco’s Australian operations and he was accompanied by the Consul General of Italy, Pierluigi Trombetta.
The dignitaries met with IvecoAustralia business director, Bruce Healy, who explained the latest enhancements to the local manufacturing facility as well as outlining the cooperation between both countries in developing Iveco truck, van and bus products for Australia.
“It was an absolute pleasure to host the Ambassador and Consul General today,” Mr Healy said.
“Both gentlemen were impressed with the scale of our facilities and very interested to learn more about our local manufacturing efforts and how we work collaboratively with our Italian colleagues to develop IVECO products for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
“Our local team also highlighted some recent upgrades to our local facilities in preparation to manufacture additional new models here in coming months.
“IVECO Australia welcomes close collaboration between our two countries and hope to again host both gentlemen on site in the near future.”
