Seemingly at the end of the Dealer of the Year award season Iveco has announced its highest achieving dealers at an awards dinner in Sydney recently in conjunction with its annual Dealer Conference.
Adtrans Truck Centre in Melbourne was announced as Metro Dealer of the Year, while Nowra Truck and Tractor was awarded Regional Dealer of the Year. In addition the company announced a new Dealer of the Year Award for its Daily specialist outlets, announcing Perth Iveco Centre as the winner of the new category.
Iveco says it allocated points based on the dealership’s performance across several business areas including sales, service and parts departments, dealership staff participation in training initiatives and feedback from customer care programs.
The awards were presented to Adtrans Truck Centre general manager, Marcus Prato, Nowra Truck and Tractor managing director, Ron Arthur, and Perth Iveco Centre dealer principal, Claude Mattiaccio by senior CNH Industrial and Iveco managers.
Mr Prato said after coming close on a number of occasions, it was extremely satisfying to receive the award in 2018.
“It was definitely a goal of the management team to take that final step in 2018 and to earn recognition for the dealership after also being nominated in 2017,” he said.
“The dealership has some great personnel, the team is very customer-centric and has a high work-ethic, so all-up it was a great team effort.
“I think the Iveco brand as a whole is also the strongest it has been for many years, we have an excellent product line-up and the customers are responding very positively.”
In receiving Dealer of the Year – Regional, Nowra Truck and Tractor’s Ron Arthur said the dealership was able to capitalise on improving business conditions in the region.
“In the past 12 months we’ve started to enjoy some excellent repeat business from existing customers while the latest Daily range is also gaining a strong following in the market, overall there’s a real confidence in the brand.” Mr Arthur said.
“Geographically, with Sydney’s outer suburbs growing we’re seeing population growth in the region and a lot of hobby farms starting up which is driving sales for us.
“We’re very pleased to have received the award and would like to thank our customers for their ongoing support.”
In Western Australia, Claude Mattiaccio said Perth Iveco Centre was proud and delighted at having being recognised with the inaugural Dealer of the Year – Daily.
“Although the Daily is a leading player in the van and light truck market, the product range was relatively new to our dealership,” he said.
“But it’s testament to the quality of the product coupled with our dedicated staff and sales processes that we’ve been able to make a real impact in the Perth metropolitan market.
“We’d also like to thank the strong manufacturer support provided by IVECO’s regional representatives along with our growing customer base.”
This year also saw extended awards categories to recognise Parts and Service Dealerships along with individual service excellence accolades..
The winners of these awards were Bathurst Truck and Tractor (Dealer of the Year – Parts and Service), Danny Downs from Black Truck Sales and Patrick Schinella from Sydney Truck and Machinery (Service Excellence Awards) and Van World from Coburg, Melbourne (Highest Performing Retail Finance Dealership).
