Isuzu Australia is presenting a webinar to help Australian tradies and business owners determine if their load is too much for their Ute
IAL Chief Engineer, Product Strategy, Simon Humphries will host ‘Is Your Load Killing Your Ute?’ on October 17 at 12 AEDT (11am QLD/11:30am SA/10am WA/10:30am NT).
Humphries said overloading poses a real threat on Australian roads.
“Often we find business owners don’t know what their vehicles are legally allowed to carry. And that’s not surprising – many utes are regularly promoted as ‘one-tonners’ yet if anyone was to carry one tonne in the tray they’d be breaking the law, jeopardising their safety and potentially putting other road users in danger,” said Simon.
The ‘Is Your Load Killing Your Ute?’ webinar has been designed to raise awareness of a problem that so often goes unnoticed on Australian roads.
The online seminar with Q&A component is free, and interested listeners need only register on the website.
The presentation will offer practical advice that will help keep tradies safer while they’re out on the roads.
“The purpose of this webinar is to alert tradespeople to the dangers of driving around in an overloaded vehicle. In it we’ll discuss how to calculate the actual amount your vehicle can carry in its tray and what that figure looks like when you’re loading up your ute,” Mr Humphries said.
