Isuzu has announced a limited edition All Wheel Drive version of its NLS 45-150 Traypack as part of its Ready to Work range with availability limited to the month of September.
Isuzu says the all Wheel Drive NLS Traypack is ideally suited fro everything from fielding crops, to negotiating boggy work sites, operating on a large station or a small hobby farm, delivering a a tough, reliable work vehicle that is more than a convenience.
The NLS AWD model is the4 centre of a new Isuzu Ready-to-Work AWD and 4X4 sales campaign for the month of September, with limited numbers of this model currently available from Isuzu dealers at a competitive price point according to Isuzu.
Isusu says its broader 4×4 and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) range delivers both ‘application suitability and engineering smarts, especially when it comes to off-road conditions and low traction surfaces’and are proven performers in tough Australian conditions.
The provisional addition of the NLS 45-150 AWD Traypack delivers yet another factory-backed, , pre-bodied solution to the company’s industry-leading off-road line-up.
The NLS has the advantage of being able to be driven on standard passenger car licence meaning more access for multiple drivers which is a plus for team based council and civil and construction thanks to a 4,500 kg GVM . The truck also boasts an eight tonne GCM and a four tonne towing capacity.
The limited edition NLS 45-150 AWD Traypack uses a single speed transfer case incorporating a viscous coupling drive to the front wheels. This on-demand, part-time all-wheel drive function means the driver can switch between both two and all-wheel operation via a dashboard-mounted switch, after manually locking the front hubs.
The NLS AWD features independent front suspension (IFS) delivering a better level of driver comfort and a predictable ride both on and off the sealed sections.
Power is from Isuzu’s 4JJ1-TCS, 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine, with 110 kW of power at 2,800 rpm and maximum torque of 375 Nm from 1,600 all the way to 2,800 rpm and is mated to Isuzu’s 5-speed synchromesh manual transmission.
The NLS models feature ABS and ASR traction control, Hill Start Aid, driver and passenger airbag and ECE-R29 cab strength compliance, while driver and passenger comfort is aided by integrated air conditioning, a contoured adjustable driver’s seat, central locking, electric windows and mirrors and an updated multimedia system.
The factory-backed, heavy duty aluminium tray body comes with integrated load restraint anchor points, headboard including rear window protector, removable drop sides and rear tailgate as well as an Isuzu reversing camera.
According to National Sales Manager, Les Spaltman, the limited nature of this model makes it all the more attractive.
