Hino has given a sneak peek of its new medium duty 500 Series model ahead of its release later this month.
Although no details about the new model have been released, Truck and Bus News believes there is likely to a range of variants as the brand aims to claim market share from industry leader Isuzu.
It is believed Allison Transmissions will feature heavily in the 500 Series spec sheets with the markets increasing transition to self-shifting gearboxes over manuals.
While the Japanese manufacturer remains tight-lipped about the new model, it seems to have taken styling cues from its flagship 700 Series.
Truck and Bus News will have all the details of the new 500 Series following the launch in the third week of February.
