Hino has announced it has again expanded its dealer network with the the addition of a dealership in Hobart with FRM Hino opening a new purpose built operation in the Tasmanian capital.
“With consistent business growth, Hobart remains a key market for Hino within Tasmania, and we are confident the new premises will allow FRM to continue to best serve our Hobart customers,” said Brian Wright, general manager of sales and supply chain for Hino Australia.
“Alongside tourism, the major sectors of mining, agriculture and other primary industries continue to present opportunities for Hino product within the light, medium and heavy duty truck segments of the market,” said Brian Wright.
Over the last five years, FRM Hino has relocated all three FRM branches in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport to new and improved premises.
“When FRM began in 1982, our focus was primarily on the forklift industry, and as we have transformed to truck sales and service business, it has been necessary to improve our premises accordingly,” said David Mills, managing director of FRM Hino.
“Our new dealership is Hobart’s only truck showroom, and features an impressive 2,750m2 floor space and 20 service bays, which allows us to better serve our customers’ needs.”
“The new premises under the management of new sales manager Troy Wood have seen us increase our sales by 30 per cent year-on-year since we opened the new facility in November 2020,” he concluded.
Hino counts 65 dealerships and services centres around the country, still well behind its rival Isuzu but the company said recently it is pursuing a network growth strategy with more new dealerships to come in the next few years.
