GEE. LIKE YOUR BOOTS! WORK CLOTHING SPECIALIST GETS SOME SOLE

Here at Truck and Bus News, we normally write about new developments and news from, the truck and transport business, and without wanting to get into the fashion news business, a story came across this week piqued our interest and  we though we might give it a run, although  they are work boots, so running may not be that easy.

Critics have mentioned that often T&B News looks like something out of vogue! in fact  they reckon we look so far out of vogue that we are years behind any fashion trend, although even we could look pretty work ‘sharp’ in a pair of the new workboots just launched by work clothing specialist  KingGee

KingGee has launched its new industrial safety footwear range, XtremeGuard, which it labels  as ‘high-performance’ . The company says its new work boot range features eight distinct styles as well as  combining innovative industry-leading technologies with modern design to ensure dynamic movement, durability, comfort, and a high level of safety which it claims sets a ‘new benchmark in industrial footwear performance’.

The new boot range has been endorsed by the Australian Podiatry Association (APodA), while KingGee sys  the new footwear range will be a trusted choice for professionals seeking best in class industrial safety footwear designed to make a difference in  daily work life of wearers.

KingGee claims its  XtremeGuard range  has been engineered for professionals working in demanding environments, and that it has been designed by industrial footwear specialist, Emma Shirgwin, after  what  has been described an extensive research and development process encompassing deep insights from industry experts and end-users. The company also says that its boots offer ‘comprehensive functionality and gender-specific options, as well as being tailored to meet the diverse needs of workers.

“Our commitment to innovation sets us apart, and XtremeGuard is Australia’s most advanced safety footwear range, meticulously engineered with innovative features to redefine safety standards and set new benchmarks in industrial footwear in both light and heavy industrial sectors,” said KingGee’s senior footwear designer, Emma Shirgwin.

“ The range incorporates state-of-the-art technologies including reinforced toe caps, anti-slip soles, heat-resistant materials, and ergonomic designs,” Shirgwin added.

KingGee claims that its XtremeGuard range has integrated new materials and  technologies to raise the bar in fit-for-purpose safety footwear market in Australia.

“It’s clear, workers want better performing boots – boots that are strong, lightweight, offer excellent grip and manoeuvrability, and provide high levels of protection,” Shirgwin said.

One such example of a new technology, the company says is the Kevlar RKT reflective thread, which it says is  five times the strength of steel and provides visibility in low light conditions for added safety of the wearer.

“Women in particular have expressed the need for safety boots designed specifically for them, which is why our XtremeGuard women boot styles have been tailored to fit the distinct shape of a woman’s foot, ensuring unmatched comfort and support,” the designer said.

The KingGee claims its XtremeGuard women’s boots are crafted to support the biomechanics of the female foot, reducing fatigue and ensure all-day wearability.

It added that these boots prioritise functionality and that they take into account the physiological differences between men’s and women’s feet, such as wider forefeet, narrower heels, higher arches, and a larger Q angle, which affects alignment and biomechanics. They are engineered to prevent heel slippage, pinched toes, and arch pain, offering high comfort.

KingGee XtremeGuard  says its footwear range has a recommended retail price from $239 to $279, depending on style and the range available now at leading specialist workwear retailers nationwide.
