Ford Australia has confirmed we will get an all-electric version of the popular Transit Custom van.
Known as the Ford E-Transit Custom, the offering will land in Australia in 2024, becoming the third electrified vehicle in the Ford range down-under.
The first electric-powered Ford vehicle offered in Australia will be the Ford E-Transit, it’s due in Australian showrooms later this year (we have more details on that offering here).

The E-Transit Custom will have a one-tonne capacity, though there’s no official word yet on what the range offered by the electric powertrain will provide.
Addressing the range, Ford promises the all-electric commercial vehicle “will offer a compelling range”.
Ford tells us the new E-Transit Custom is built with electrification and next-gen connectivity at its heart.

Offering compelling range, full towing capability and DC fast charging, E-Transit Custom was developed using in-depth insights from van users to ensure a seamless customer experience.”
