Daimler’s Japanese offering Fuso has introduced a standard five year warranty across all new trucks and Rosa bus models, making it the only Japanese manufacturer on the Australian market with such a guarantee.
The warranty covers all genuine parts and service from authorised Fuso dealers for five rotations of the calendar or a set number of kilometres/operating hours – whichever comes first.
“Fuso is prepared to back our great vehicles with a class-leading warranty that gives our customers real peace of mind,” said Fuso Truck and Bus Director, Justin Whitford.
“This initiative, along with our recent introduction of a complimentary first scheduled service, makes owning a Fuso more attractive than ever.”
The warranty covers almost everything on the vehicles, except for tyres, consumables, accidental damage, wear and tear items, non-factory supplied accessories and non-approved aftermarket modifications.
The warranty covers five years or 500,000km or 10,000 operating hours for the FP, FV and FS Heavy models and five years or 350,000km or 7000 operating hours for the FM and FN Fighter medium duty.
The FK Fighter medium duty truck is covered for five years or 300,000km or 6000 operating hours, while the Canter light duty truck and Rosa bus are covered for five years or 200,000km or 4000 operating hours.
The new warranty applies only to trucks and buses registered and operated in normal conditions in Australia.
Vehicles operated in severe service applications, such as off-road, underground mining, crop spraying or on beaches are covered under warranty for 12 months or 50,000km or 1000 hours.
