Transport Women Australia Limited has announced it is now accepting applications for the next round of Driving the Difference scholarships.
The TWAL program which is backed by Daimler Truck Australia Pacific is now in its fifth year and provides a unique opportunity for women in the transport and logistics industry and those wishing to enter the field.
According to TWAL, the scholarships enable the successful applicants to undertake any course that will advance their careers or expand their knowledge in their current position. Alternatively, it could give other women the chance to become part of the transport and logistics industry.
Applications will be accepted until October 31 and recipients will be announced on November 16.
“TWAL is .excited to partner once again with Daimler Truck Australia Pacific to present the Driving the Difference scholarships for another year,” said TWAL chair Jacquelene Brotherton.
These scholarships have enhanced participation of women in the transport and logistics industry and will continue to do so. Previous winners have been from the trucking, rail, and marine sectors, so have assisted a diverse group of women,” she added.
Daimler Truck Australia Pacific president and CEO, Daniel Whitehead, said the company is pleased to continue supporting the program.
