“Michael McCormack understands trucking and the vital role it plays in the Australian economy and our way of life. We are proud to welcome him to join our conference delegates,” ATA CEO Ben Maguire said.
The ATA says Trucking Australia 2020 will be where industry meets and will bring together hundreds of operators, suppliers, and stakeholders, and will connect the trucking industry and provide a platform for positive discussion to issues the industry is currently facing.
“The ATA has a strong and effective working relationship with Mr McCormack and the Australian Government,” Mr Maguire said.
“We look forward to hearing the Government’s plans for improving road safety and taking action on issues that matter most to Australia’s hardworking trucking businesses,” he said.
Deputy PM Michael McCormack said trucking has a critical role in Australia, delivering almost everything to and from metropolitan and regional Australia.
“The efforts of our truckies should be praised and constantly acknowledged, they keep our country moving,” Mr McCormack said.
“I look forward to addressing the national conference and hearing about the issues currently impacting the sector.”
Trucking Australia 2020 will be held in Cairns from 1-3 April. The conference will also feature informative business sessions, collaborative workshop forums and professional networking events.
