Iveco’s has announced it has releases a limited edition ready to work version of its cab chassis Daily light truck fitted with a longer 4.5m tray and featuring a 5-year / 250,000-kilometre extended warranty.
Iveco says the the Tradie Made ‘Super Tray’ is based on the 45C18 Daily cab chassis, and comes with a factory-fitted 2218mm wide by 4500mm long heavy-duty aluminium tray, which the company says allows prospective buyers to have their vehicle on the job site and working sooner, rather than waiting weeks for body fitment through a third-party supplier.
It says the other benefits to the Australian-made tray include load restrain points, a window protector and a tube headboard, as well as rope rails and corner steps, and the Super Tray also benefits from two-piece, quick lock drop sides enabling easier loading and unloading of equipment and materials,
Iveco adds that with its payload of approximately 1900kg the Super Tray is an attractive option for tradies or contractors who may have outgrown their one tonne utes offering the convenience of a car licence-friendly 4,495kg GVM with a 3.5tonne braked towing capacity, which allows users to tow machinery or a tool trailer comfortably and legally.
Iveco’s latest 3.0 litre, Euro 6 turbodiesel engine producing 180hp (132kW) and 430Nm of torque powers the new model and is matched to eight-speed automatic transmission.
Iveco says that other benefits of the Daily cab chassis include a full range of safety equipment including ABS braking all round, DRLs, four airbags, Hill Holder, Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Anti-slip regulator (ASR), which forms part of Iveco’s coveted ‘ESP9’ suite of electronic stability technologies.
Inside the cabin, the Daily Tradie Mate comes with Iveco’s Hi-Connect multimedia system including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, inductive phone charging and soft-touch steering wheel.
The Daily Tradie Made Super Tray’s extended warranty of 5 years / 250,000 is available for vehicles retailed prior to 30 June, 2023 and represents an increase of 2 years / 50,000 kilometres over the standard warranty.
Super Tray models will be available shortly from Iveco Dealers nationwide.
