T&B News is hearing that another major manufacturer is about to announce that it is set to pull out of the Brisbane Truck Show.
Speculation has been rising in recent days about more truck makers withdrawing from the premier truck expo and a snippet of information overnight leads us to believe Hino will be the next brand to decide to be a no show in Brisbane this year.
We understand Hino is planning an announcement later today that will add to the headaches for show organiser, Todd Hacking and the HVIA, which has already seen Volvo Group( including Volvo, Mack and UD), Scania, Isuzu and Cummins pull out of the Show, scheduled for 13-16 May.
Its not clear at this stage why Hino has decided to pull out, but clearly nervousness over COVID-19 and its impending launch of a new 700 series heavy duty range have weighed heavily on the Japanese truck maker.
T&B News will bring you further details through the day as they come to hand.
