Volvo Group has opted to promote from within for the role of vice president of Mack Trucks, announcing Tom Chapman as the new VP of Mack, a position that has been vacant since Gary Bone became moved from the Mac role to become vice president of Volvo Trucks in January this year.
Chapman has been with Volvo Group Australia since 2015, working in a variety of roles,ranging from marketing and communications to more recently supporting the VGA retail network.
In announcing the appointment, president and CEO of Volvo Group Australia, Martin Merrick said that throughout his time with in the VGA business Tom had demonstrated an impressive ability to drive change, find solutions and support both our dealers and our customers.
“Tom’s drive, enthusiasm for the Mack brand, and his commitment to customer success make him perfectly placed to steer Mack Trucks Australia into an exciting future,” Merrick said.
