Iveco has announced it has appointed a new dealership in Australia’s national capital, with Canberra Iveco set to open its doors in the industrial suburb of Fyshwick offering sales, service and support for Iveco operators in the ACT as well as in surrounding areas of the NSW southern tablelands.
Iveco said it would now be easier for prospective truck and van owners in the national capital and surrounding regions, to ‘put an Iveco to work in their business, following the appointment of a new full-line dealership in the area”.
The announcement said that Canberra Iveco would span from passenger car licence Daily vans and light trucks through to B-Double capable Iveco prime movers.
Iveco says that the 200,000 square metre site features a 200 square metre indoor showroom, a five bay fully equipped workshop with Iveco diagnostic equipment, a dedicated wash bay and a 4,000 square metre parts warehouse along with ample customer parking and amenities including a customer lounge.
Mirko Milic will be at the helm of the new dealership as dealer principal bringing with him 25 years experience working in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries.
Miic said he was excited to be bringing the Iveco Daily, Eurocargo, ACCO and S-Way ranges to the region along with Iveco’s off-road products including the T-Way.
“The Iveco product line-up is comprehensive and offers a range of features and specification choices that will attract user types across a range of applications,” Milic said.
“We believe their combination of advanced safety features, strong emission performance and low total cost of ownership will be well received across our local market,” he added
Iveco ANZ managing director, Glen Dyer, welcomed Canberra Iveco to the dealer network, saying he was delighted at having high quality representation of the Iveco brand in the ACT and beyond.
“Mirko Milic leads an experienced and dedicated team at Canberra Iveco; this is fantastic for existing Iveco owners along with newer customers who are increasingly realising the many qualities of the brand,” Dyer said.
“The ACT is an important market for Iveco, especially as a centre of government, so to have Canberra Iveco on board to provide the full suite of services creates greater opportunities for us. It also complements our existing parts and service dealership, Express Truck Service, in Queanbeyan.”
The company also said that the addition of Canberra Iveco to its dealer network grows the number of outlets nationwide to 59, including service and parts sites.
