BIG SPLASH IN BRISBANE SAYS IVECO

Iveco Trucks says it is gearing up for a strong presence at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show, that it says will showcase a range of vehicles from car licence models through to 90-tonne gross cargo prime movers along with the Australian debut of its exciting new Eurocargo ML140 medium-duty truck.

Iveco says at the heart of its display will be its zero-emission eDaily 42S 12m³ van, which it says is powered by a 140kW / 400Nm electric motor and features a 77kWh dual-battery system, which is also scalable up to 156kWh for extended range beyond 300km. The eDaily will be available in both van and cab chassis configurations and the company says it is already ‘proving its real-world capabilities through rigorous trials with leading Australian fleets’.

The managing director of Iveco Australia , Glen Dyer, said Iveco’s 2025 Brisbane Show stand will have something for everyone.

“We’re thrilled to bring a dynamic vehicle lineup to this year’s Brisbane Truck Show. From our game-changing electric eDaily to the new Eurocargo making its Aussie debut, and our latest heavy range models, there will be plenty for showgoers to see and experience,” Dyer said.

“This will be more than just a display – it’s a celebration of Iveco’s 50 years of commitment to innovation, sustainability, and meeting the real-world needs of our customers.”

Iveco says the eDaily will be join by a Daily 70C 7.2t GVM cab chassis model, which the company points out is  the perennial best-selling European cab chassis  truck in Australia.

Iveco  also said it would  use the Brisbane Show to unveil its new Eurocargo ML140 giving it its first Australian public appearance. Iveco says the Eurocargo is one of the top-selling medium-duty trucks in Europe, but it must be noted the truck struggles agains the dominant Japanese brands in the medium sector in Australia. The company said its next-gen Eurocargo elevates safety, comfort, and automation, and the truck on display at the Show will features a boldly redesigned cabin that will set new benchmarks for the segment.

Iveco says its  flagship S-Way range will take centre stage at the Brisbane Show, with three 550hp variants, including prime mover and rigid tipper configurations, demonstrating its adaptability across diverse transport applications. Iveco also says it has recently further strengthened the S-Way’s appeal with new 90t GCM variants, now available on application.

Although an Acco in badge name only, Iveco’s perennial and long lived name plate will make an appearance on the company’s stand. Although once iconic and once a vocational sector favourite, in its old Australian designed and developed incarnation, the latest European version which bears the Acco nameplate, has proved a little less attractive for vocational buyers thanks largely to the fact that the truck has too high a tare weight and a lower payload than the old long in the tooth model. Despite this Iveco says the Acco 6×4 will b part of its display at Brisbane and will be fitted with a side loader refuse collection body, its traditional stone sector for sales but one that has been usurped largely by Isuzu’s F series offerings in recent times.

The company also pointed out that the Acco model is also available as an 8×4 variant, which it adds is ideal for hooklift and front loader applications and claims it reinforces the model’s reputation as the ‘go-to’ workhorse for demanding industries.

Iveco also  hinted at additional announcements at the 2025 Brisbane Show, saying it promised an ‘engaging experience for attendees’ with the company saying that among other attractions  there will be giveaways including an exclusive opportunity to rock out to one of the planet’s biggest metal bands.
