Toll Remote Logistics has been hailed for its work with the Australian Defence Force (ADF), in receiving an award for Exellence in Military Logistics at the 2015 SMART Supply Chain & Logistics Conference.
After the company successfully transported hundreds of pieces of ADF equipment from Afghanistan back to base in Australia via road, sea and air, general manager Elle Hilton acknowledged the outstanding communication skills demonstrated by the team upon accepting the award.
Hilton lauded her team’s ability to rise to the challenge and their professionalism throughout the operation.
“The team was able to meet a range of cultural and language challenges during cross-border transactions, while leveraging Toll’s global network of suppliers.” she said.
“Their willingness and ability to go above and beyond to meet our customer’s needs within tight time frames was critical to the success of this project, and instrumental to this award win.”
